This is my entry... now.. I wasn't going to enter... but I was listening to some music and had an idea for it so here it is. My feelings towards christmas.... erm... well I never seem to get amazingly excited until christmas eve, I dont know why..Its the same principal that means I don't get excited about my birthday until the day before.. Maybe I'm just so slow that it takes ages to sink in.. This year should be pretty special though, for the first time in my life someone important to me other than my family is going to be there -> hence the name Lucky Star I've added here.. just seemed a cheerful and appropriate title. Also, I hate receiving presents as I feel guilty that they've spent money on me, but watching people OPEN presents.. Now that's a different story entirely. *And luckily my other half at the moment seems to get the same issue* Seeing peoples faces makes the day for me, its just a day where there's just no excuse to be unhappy. My only wish I'd have this christmas is that all goes to plan and everyone is with who they want to be with. I suppose. My design was inspired by the Star on top of the tree and also the idea of a shooting star and wishing. The mask it pretty straight forward, there are long fake eyelashes attached to it on one side to balance out the stars on the opposite side. The dress is an A-symmetric dress with the stripes from the star wrapping around the back to the hip below the bigger star piece. The parts around the hips are tinsel-type material... and the two parts on the top section that are not the star are a sparkly blue material (kind of representing the night sky) Im sorry the colours arent what they could be, I didnt have the right software, its gone caput again.
i really like the top of the dress!.....however, if i may say so, i think the top may not go maybe as so much with the waist of the dress style-wise....maybe that's just one thing to keep paying attention to while drawing.
can I just ask you to clarify what you mean by ' i think the top may not go maybe as so much with the waist of the dress ' .... Sorry, Its just im not sure what you mean and I want to take all things on board completely x
like, i think the star and strips on the bodice are going in one direction and the wreath and ornaments on the waist in another. i get they both remind -a christmas tree,....but together i can't see them that well. maybe a dif placement, or usage??? plz take this as a help and not a critisism..or at least a constructive one
Ohh, I see what you mean. thank you for clarifying. I did actually draw it as though the star continued on around the dress but didn't think it looked right, its just how I saw it.I do take this as help which is why I asked you to clarify rather than just go 'yeah, yeah' and not do anything. I will take this into consideration in my next design as its a little late to do it again. Thank you again for the comment.

I like the whole idea, and its assymetrical design gives it the final touch
